The kids and I wait to tie-dye until the weather warms. It’s definitely an outside craft! Every year, tie-dyeing is a messy, imperfect, laugh-and-cool!-inducing day of crafting. And every year we look forward to all the laughter and imperfections.
Here is a throw-back to two summers ago when we tie-dyed in our front yard all day long and no one seemed to think we were weird. Or maybe they are just used to us.
This year we focused our tie-dyeing day on making decorations and clothing for the 4th of July. This is an easy holiday to choose for beginner tie-dyers because you only need two dye colors-red and blue!
